FHI360 Regional Technical Advisor Health and Nutrition in Bangkok, Thailand

Job Summary:

The Technical Advisor Health and Nutrition will provide will provide high quality technical assistance in proposals and projects in health and nutrition. It is anticipated that approximately 40% of the Advisor’s level of effort will support business development and 60% will support project implementation.

This position can be located anywhere in Asia. The candidates must already be in country.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide Technical Assistance to health and nutrition projects across the Asia Pacific region.

  • Support and build capacity of technical staff to implement high-quality programming

  • Stay abreast of the latest evidence and disseminate it to project teams.

  • Develop methods, strategies and tool to support project implementation.

  • Support documentation of project lessons.

  • Conduct project quality assessments.

  • Lead capture and proposal design processes, including: identifying partners, supporting recruitment, gathering information and writing proposal sections

Education:

  • Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Public Health or Related Field.

Experience:

  • Highly prefers 10 or more years of experience in international public health or related field in Asia.

  • Typically requires 8-11 years of experience in education, health, behavioral, or social sciences or related field.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in health and nutrition programming in Asia, experience in private sector health a plus.

  • Informed of current program developments in health and nutrition area.

  • Demonstrated experience with business development, including contributing to the design of technical proposals.

  • Ability to set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities.

  • Fluency in English. Fluency in an Asian language a plus.

Travel Requirements:

  • 25-50%
